Quick answer: Wear comfortable shoes you can pedal in, dress in layers for later in the ride, and go all in on a theme if your group wants one. Bring your ID (every ride is 21+), cash for drinks at the bar stops, and a phone for photos.

Whether you call it a party bike or a pedal pub, you are going to be pedaling, laughing, and hopping on and off at bar stops for 2 hours. Dress for that and the ride takes care of the rest.

Shoes: the one thing that actually matters

Sneakers or any flat, closed shoe you can push a pedal in are the move. Flip flops slide around and heels are a hard no for pedaling. If your outfit only works with the cute shoes, bring them in a bag for the bar stops and pedal in sneakers.

Layers for later in the ride

A 2 hour ride can start warm and end cool, especially on a Shore evening in spring or fall. A light jacket or hoodie you can tie around your waist covers it. You will warm up once the pedaling starts, so skip anything heavy.

Themes and costumes

This is where groups have the most fun. Matching shirts for a bachelor party, wigs and sashes for a bachelorette, team colors for a birthday crew, company swag for a work outing. Anything goes as long as you can still pedal in it. Skip long capes, trailing fabric, or anything that could catch in the pedals.

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear on a pedal pub?

Comfortable clothes you can pedal in, sneakers or other flat closed shoes, and a light layer for later in the ride. Themes and costumes are welcome.

Can I wear sandals on the party bike?

Sneakers or other closed, flat shoes work best for pedaling. Sandals and flip flops tend to slip, so save them for the bar stops.

Can we wear costumes?

Yes, and groups love it. Just skip anything long or loose that could catch in the pedals.

What do I need to bring?

Your ID since every ride is 21+, cash for drinks at the bar stops, and your phone. Sign the online waiver before the ride too.
