Frequently Asked Questions

Why can’t I book within 72 hours?

At The Pedalcycle, we need enough notice to make sure we can supply our riders with a fun, willing and able, ready-to-go tour guide to suit all your pedaling needs and more! We WILL NOT book rides earlier than 72 hours notice at this time. Thank you :-)

Who drives this thing?

Don't worry, no one in your group has to drive! Simply pedal to power the bike, while one of our professionally trained and amazing tour guides steers it and guides you on your trip. Relax, talk, sing, pedal, and have fun!

Can I sign the waiver now?

You can! Use the link below to sign your waiver early. Our drivers also have the capabilites to help you before we get pedaling.

Does pedaling actually make it move?

Yes! Pedaling really makes this bike move, it's no gimmick. Our pedalcycle travels 3-5 MPH, depending on how much you pedal! Remember: it's a pedal tour, not a bus tour. Pedaling makes for all the fun!

What can I expect?

Expect to have a BLAST! You will be pedaling through the amazing town of Seaside Heights, or the wonderful Beach Haven, blasting and singing along to your favorite jams - all while burning calories! We'll also make several stops along the way, visiting our favorite bars in the area!

Where does the bike start/stop?

Seaside Heights - we start out of Hooks Bar & Grill, located at 1320 Boulevard, Seaside Heights, NJ 08751. The ride will also end and return at this location.

Beach Haven - we start The Pedalcycle ride from Bird and Betty’s, located at 529 Dock Rd, Beach Haven, NJ 08008. The ride will also end and return at this location.

Do we need 15 people to rent this bike?

Absolutely not! We do smaller by seat rentals and will pair you with other smaller groups to get as full of a bike as possible. We can get the bike moving at a decent speed with a minimum of 6 people.

Can I rent the whole bike?

Yes! Make sure to book a "Private Tour" when you are making reservations on our live calendar. Email us if you need any additional assistance at Sal@ThePedalcycle.com

How should I prepare for the ride?

To make your ride as enjoyable as possible, here are some things you can do!

  • If you haven't already, fill out and sign our online liability waiver. You may also encourage those riding with you to do the same by sending them our website or a quick email with the link!

  • Cash is certainly king, and it will help you get a beer, drink, or shot faster and easier once we get to the bar. Remember your cash and ID's to ensure you can enjoy a nice cold one at each stop.

  • Last but not least, remember we are having a GREAT time and the bars LOVE having us, but we are a bigger group, so be nice to your bartenders and treat them well!

Can we bring food?

Definitely! If you are like us, you LOVE to bring snacks wherever you go. Please make sure it won't spill or get crazy messy on the Pedalcycle though!

Are we allowed to tip the driver?

Yes! Our drivers work very hard to ensure you have the best possible experience. If they show you a good time, please show them you are happy with their service!

What is the cancellation policy?

To put it simply, IF YOU CANCEL-NO REFUND. If we cancel, You get a refund! :)

IMPORTANT!!! If we are not able to book a MINIMUM of 6 seats, the bike will not go out. We will contact you if there are less than 6 seats booked for your time slot! If a ride has to cancel due to this minimum, we will refund your payment if we are unable to reschedule your reservation.

What if it's rains?

A light rain will be no problem! The Pedalcycle has a canopy, but there is a chance of getting a little wet. We will make an executive decision and let our riders know if we need to reschedule. If its snowing, heaving raining or any lightning, the tour will have to be cancelled and reschedule with a rain check.
